DFIC is an innovation design competition to address financial inclusion specifically in the understanding, access & uptake of microtakaful amongst the marginalised communities.

You will need to
-have the details of all 3 team members
-answer two short essay questions, and
-make a simple video recording (under 2 minutes, no editing).

The 5 best teams eligible to move on to the next stage will be announced.
There will be pre-tasks to be done before our live sessions and the finale.
We will come together on Friday evening (3 Dec) and Saturday morning (4 Dec) for our first live sessions.
We will come together on Friday evening (10 Dec) and Saturday morning (11 Dec) for our second live sessions.
On Sunday morning (12 Dec), you'll have your final presentation and the winners for each prize will be announced!
The DFIC2021 is an innovation design competition to address financial inclusion specifically in the understanding, access and uptake of microtakaful amongst the marginalised communities.
In short, we would like to get your ideas on how we can get more disadvantaged people to protect themselves with microtakaful!
The FFL Financial Inclusion Challenge is organised by Fun(d) for Life (a partnership between FWD Takaful and Arus Academy) as well as the Financial Inclusion Youth Committee (FIYC).
Solutions can be focused on the following but not limited to:
-policies
-initiatives
-projects
-campaigns
-movements
We are offering cash prizes of up to RM5,000. You will also be able to meet other like-minded people who are passionate about improving the lives of all Malaysians. Besides, you may also be prioritised for internship positions with one of the organisers.
If selected to go into the next round, you are expected to be present and participate actively during the online sessions on the following dates:
Part 1: Ideating through understanding
3 Dec 2021 (evening)
4 Dec 2021 (morning)
Part 2: Mentorship
10 Dec 2021 (evening)
11 Dec 2021 (morning)

12 Dec 2021

You must submit your application as a team of 3 students. Only 1 submission is needed per team.
No, you may make your submissions in either Bahasa Malaysia or English. Your submissions will be judged based on merits and not the language used.
Do note that the live sessions will be primarily conducted in English, although you are allowed to use Malay throughout your participation.
Of course! As long as you are a Malaysian student or working professional aged 18-30 studying at a higher institution of learning on the date of application.
No, it doesn’t. We’re looking for young individuals who are passionate and creative about wanting to build a more equitable world for all.
All your submissions, photos/videos and other necessary information related to the event may be used in our social media and communication with external parties for the purpose of event promotion and reporting.
